FOOT SCRUB:
Benefits: Orange is high in vitamin C and critic acid which
exfoliates dead skin cells, improves skin brightness and almond oil moisturizes
and nourishes skin, removes sunburn and lavender essential oil soothes the
skin and fade away the sweaty smell from your feet.
How to make: Take 3 to 4
tbsp of orange peel powder in a clean bowl, add 2 tbsp of almond oil and 5 to 6
drops of lavender essential oil. Combine everything well, make a granulated
scrub like consistency.
How to use: Apply this on your damp feet and hands, massage it in
a circular motion for at least 5 to 6 minutes then rinse it off with cold
water. Follow with a light moisturizer or body lotion.
CINNAMON POWDER AND SUGAR FOOT SCRUB:
Benefits: Here comes the most interesting and effective scrub recipe especially if you have irritated and dry, chapped & cracked feet. We all used to use cinnamons in our favorite cooking recipes but do you know that cinnamons have some amazing skin benefits too? Cinnamon is rich in anti-oxidant and anti-bacterial properties, it improves the blood flow and treats dry, flaky skin even provides relief from eczema. Sugar works as a great natural exfoliator, remove dead skin cells gently and make your skin soft and supple. While olive oil removes sun tan, wrinkles & cures shrink, uneven skin. (You can also use coconut oil here.)
How to make: Take 3 tbsp of cinnamon powder, 4 tbsp of granulated sugar, add 2 tbsp of olive oil into it. Mix everything well and let the sugar dissolves slightly into the oil.
How to use: Take the required amount of this scrub on your hand, massage in a circular motion for 15 minutes. Wash off with regular water.
RICE
FLOUR FOOT SCRUB:
Benefits: Rice flour has
some amazing anti-inflammatory properties with soothes the irritated skin and removes
tan from your feet, while raw milk works as a very effective natural cleanser and
moisturizes the feet, And lemongrass essential oil removes any fungal
infection & takes away all those sweaty, unpleasant smells from your feet.
How to make: Take 3 to 4 tbsp of rice flour on a bowl, add 2 tbsp
raw cold milk & 5 to 6 drops of lemongrass essential oil in it. Mix everything
very well until it forms a granulated thick scrub consistency.
How to use: Apply it on
your feet and hands, massage everything in a circular motion for at least 10 minutes
then rinse it off with normal water.
SEA
SALT FOOT SCRUB:
Benefits: I think this is the easiest and my favorite foot and
hands scrub till now. It is extremely simple to make and shows its result
instantly.
Sea salt exfoliates
the skin and remove dead skin cells and decreases the extreme sweat production,
while peppermint oil is cooling, antifungal and gives relief from itchy and smelly
feet & refreshes the skin.
Coconut oil moisturizes
the skin reduces inflammation, and the medium-chain fatty acids found in
coconut oil protects the skin from harmful bacteria.
How to make: Take 3 to 4 tbsp of any sea salt on a bowl, Mix 3 to
4 drops of peppermint essential oil and 2 tbsp of coconut oil into in. Combine
everything well until the sea salt gets dissolved slightly.
How to use: Damp your feet and hands with some splash of water,
Start massaging the scrub in a circular motion all over your skin, Massage it for
10 to 15 minutes then rinse it off with clean, cold water.
BESAN
AND TURMERIC FOOT SCRUB:
Benefits: Besan is super useful as a tan removal agent and it
works like a mild exfoliator. While turmeric has anti-inflammatory properties,
it brightens the skin, fights infection.
How to make: Take two tbsp of besan/gram flour in a bowl, add 2 pinches
of turmeric and make a paste with few drops of water.
How to use: Apply on your
clean feet and hands evenly, leave it for 15 minutes until it dries down completely
then start massaging it in a circular motion for 4 to 5 minutes with some splash
of water. Then rinse everything off with Luke warm water.
